We are a traditional judo club which teaches traditional judo and its values and we welcome vistors of all grades and organisations into our dojo. Our judo is based on the teachings of Dr Jigoro Kano, the founder of judo and those of Kenshiro Abbe, 8th Dan Butokukai,  We are  affiliated to Judo For All (UK), a traditional Kodokan Judo organisation, which in turn is affiliated to the World Judo Federation.

Our aim is make our students as good as they can possibly be at Judo and assist them to develop their own individuality both on and off the mat. We encourage our members to take part in area and national events. Those who wish to take a more contested oriented approach are encouraged to do so, but not at the expense of other members of our club. We consider that the club is there for the benefit of all its members, following Dr Kano’s maxim of Mutal Welfare and Benefit.
